I checked into the hotel around 9 PM after a long and exhausting journey. Within 10 minutes, I discovered the bathroom sink was completely clogged and nearly overflowing. When I reported this to the front desk, the initial response was to send an engineer to "repair" it. I found this unacceptable. Why should a guest, arriving late and exhausted, sacrifice their rest time to fix a facility failure that should have been checked before check-in? Furthermore, when I requested a room change, the staff actually questioned me on "whether I had used any other facilities, such as the bed." This felt incredibly unprofessional and unwelcoming. Even if I had touched the bed, the hotel's priority should have been providing a functional room and compensating me for the inconvenience, rather than worrying about their housekeeping workload. To my disappointment, there was zero service recovery. Beyond a basic room swap (assisted by the concierge, which I appreciate), no compensation was offered—no room upgrade, no breakfast, not even a fruit platter. This is our honeymoon trip, and this experience significantly dampened our mood. Comparing this to my previous stays with the Marriott Group—where a minor issue resulted in an immediate room change plus complimentary breakfast for the rest of my stay—Accor’s hospitality fell significantly short. As a luxury brand, Swissôtel should understand that service recovery is about more than just "fixing a mistake"; it's about valuing the guest's time and special occasions.

Hotel is comfortable but I expected a king bed not 2 smaller beds. Also the lifts are generally slow made worse by one being out of order. Given 2 lifts are needed to get to street level, this can make exiting the hotel in the morning much slower than optimal. It does cause me to question whether I should stay elsewhere. The room service menu is also very limited causing me to eat elsewhere.

Only 2 out of 3 elevators in operation resulting a long wait during peak hours. Smell urine at the consierge especially in the morning
