We were very pleasantly surprised to discover what a hidden gem Swissotel Sydney is! It is conveniently located right in the heart of the city close to shopping malls, great restaurants and the light rail! We felt very welcome and right at home - the hospitality is outstanding! The room was beautiful and very clean. Highly recommended and would stay here again and again!

The lift it’s not convenient at all. I’m waiting for 4 times for the lift because it’s full. I understand one of the lift is not working but since a lot of people in the hotel, need to get the lift fixed asap.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay — the location was excellent, and the room was spacious and comfortable. However, we did experience a couple of issues that significantly impacted our experience: Lift Access on Checkout Day On the day of our departure, we had to wait over 30 minutes for a lift. Despite calling the concierge from the lobby phone, and being told someone would assist us, no help arrived. We were travelling with an infant and a young child, which made the long wait extremely stressful and tiring. Other guests noticed our situation and were surprised we were still waiting. If we had booked an airport transfer, we likely would have missed it — leading to additional stress and cost. This level of service is not acceptable for a hotel of your standard. Lobby Blocked by Wedding Guests While we understand and appreciate that events such as weddings are part of hotel life, it became very disruptive when wedding guests repeatedly blocked the lobby area to take photos. On multiple occasions, we were asked to stop and wait — once for over 10 minutes — just so photos could be taken. As paying hotel guests, it was frustrating to feel like our access was being restricted by other guests. We hope you take this feedback into consideration to improve guest experience in the future. We truly enjoyed other aspects of our stay, but these issues made our departure day especially stressful.

Getting in and out of the hotel is a pain, especially when there is only one elevator working or so it seemed. At one point took us 20 mins to get up to the room. Not great when you have bookings etc for activities. The location is central but the street is chaotic if you try to get transport to and from the hotel. These two things combined made it for an average experience.
