My wife and I were on a short vacation in Amsterdam, and I had stayed before at the Swissotel. This was again a very enjoyable stay, and a very pleasent experience. The hotel has a perfect location in Amsterdam, near many important and attractive sites, and is an oasis right on the busy Damrak. Rooms are quiet, very confortable, well appointed, and the service overall is spotless. The front desk people are awesome, very friendly, professional and helpful, staring with Rob who greeted us upon our arrival (thanks!). I communicated before our arrival with reservations directly at the hotel, and they were very quick to reply and favorably resolve an issue with our reservation (an additional night we wished to add). I was very grateful for their prompt and professional help. I look forward to our next visit to Amsterdam and our next stay at the Swissotel. My sincere thanks to all!

Pleasant with the following caveats: House keeping was sub-standard. The empty shampoo bottle was only taken care off after a complaint with the reception. And even then, it was replaced by a body soap container. On the second day, house keeping did not clean the room despite the notice on the door and the room being vacant from 11h00 to 14h30. Upon asking the reception to replace the towels and bring drinking water, the towels were deposited in the room without taking away the used towels and not bringing drinking water. For checkout at noon, only 1 staff was at the reception with numerous guests waiting extended periods of time to be served while the small hotel lobby filled up with waiting guests.
